The location is excellent - close enough to everywhere but tucked out of the way.
Breakfasts were excellent! It was good seeing all the ducks, chickens and geese.
Excellent welcome when I was given a choice of rooms.
Beuatifully decorated and presented, welcoming and helpful staff, dinner and cooked breakfast absolutely first rate,
The hotel offered a high quality service in a beautiful location. Very friendly staff.
Although the location was stunning, it isn't ideal for someone who doesn't have their own transport.
Welcome and attention to individual. Comfort of lounge. Quality of menu and food at breakfast and dinner
I think the price of breakfast should be shown on the breakfast menu to make it clear that the charge is in addition to the room rate.
Relaxed atmosphere and very nice and friendly owners and staff. A really good setting in a very peaceful spot.
The bed was a bit hard and could have done with a mattress topper for the care of us oldies hips.
good food, homely rromcomfortable
It gave us the perfect peace we needed. The room faced the chickens and ducks so we had a good time communicating with them. Lovely walks immediatey there. No traffic noise.
Bedroom very small - had a job to walk around the bed.Only one chair so one had to sit on the bed. Not even room for a bedside table
An Excellent meal and welcome. I was here on buisness and this place is a hidden gem....HIGHLY Recommended
The location is good and the staff are efficient and very friendly. Food is good.
Food and particularly drink is very expensive. Breakfast price is not shown and was £10.50 each. The room was basic and too small for a double bed. This is a 1 or 2 star hotel and £89.00 for a basic courtyard room without breakfast is excessive. The owner told me that direct bookings included breakfast but not if booked through an agent. We were put in a basic, small courtyard room and not in the thatched farmhouse.
Quick service, helpful staff and nice food.
The price of the room seemed extreme for what you get, the staff failed to notify at the start of the stay that the breakfast was an additional cost, we didnt mind paying but it did annoy us that they assumed we knew.
Lonely life driving around uk. It is wonderful to find a place to stay with comfortable chairs, log fire, cream teas, walks by river and farm lands (with hills in view), good food and best of all very pleasant staff.Chickens came up trumps.......boiled eggs for breakfast! Thanks for looking after me, see you with family next time. Guy.
